The pandemic social deduction sensation among us is coming to quest and virtual reality this fall. As for an exact release date we shall get to that in a moment, but first here is everything we know about among us vr.

Coming to us by way of creators Innersloth and award winning VR devs schell games which are the creators behind the I expect you to die series Until you fall and many others. 

AVR will feature crews of 4-10 players online and will place you in a full 3d version of the skeld, With all the same tasks, emergency meetings, literal finger pointing and backstabbing we all know and love. 

I’m really looking forward to fixing some wires, aligning the engines and clearing asteroids with my actual hands. Or opening and peering through grates to sneak up and cut someone in half of course. We haven’t seen how that will look in VR yet.

The meetings will be taken in person rather than a chat screen which should be real interesting come launch. We have only seen one task in VR which was during the game awards trailer back in december which pointed out with a limited first person view it feels like the imposters will have a much better advantage than the flat screen third person counter part.

As far as release date goes their may have been a leak caught by the site steamdb which tracks updates in the steam games library data base. Just in time for Christmas Among Us could land on tuesday decemeber 13th for quest over and playstation VR. Again this is rumor but the gaming showcase did state a holiday 2022 release so it makes sense. Let’s just hope for sooner.
