Hebrews 5v7 During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. 8 Son though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered.

Jesus was taught obedience through what he suffered, this is sometimes forgotten when we are asked to live as he did. We must look to our suffering as a time to seek God intently and confide in faith through intense prayer that our Father will deliver us, creating for us a stronger testimony to His great name.

Philippians 4v6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
