From the top I wanted to say I bought my wife’s quest refurbished for only $200 on walmart. It is only 64gigs but with the newer cloud save feature I think this is a great option to save money and get into the world of VR.

Starting this process I first sent my referral link to my wife which she clicked on and used to set up her oculus account with her facebook. Next we began the set up process inside her headset using her account, and activated the new headset with her phone logged into her account in the oculus app. Once she was completely set up I checked on my phone in the oculus app inside the menu burger, clicked the blue refer a friend button and saw that she had accepted and redeem my code. 

Then to double check we went into the app on her phone to make sure she had the store credit as well by just going to the store tab then clicking on a game and then seeing the $30 store credits remaining at the bottom.

Now for the app sharing to begin. To make this easier make sure to add your partner, friend or in my case my wife to your friends list inside the quest headset. The next step is to factory reset your partners headset by first making sure your bluetooth is on on your phone and your headset is nearby Then go into their app then menu at the bottom, then devices advanced settings and finally factory reset. 

You’ll see the reset process inside your partners headset. Once that has finished, restart the secondary headset and now set it up with your main account that has all the games already purchased on it. In this example it is my account. I just did this through my app by adding another device under menu devices then the plus sign. Once setup is completed and you are signed in under the main account head to settings then accounts then app sharing and flip the switch. Something to remember here is that app sharing can only be activated on one device so make sure to do this on your partners headset not your main one. Next inside that same account menu click add account and then login with your partners oculus / facebook account and zippidy do da you hath now unlocked the realm of thy sharable apps. Your partner can now go into the apps menu and begin downloading your games at will and start playing at no extra cost.

One more pro tip when setting this up is to use your partners store credit for the main account so it can be used by both accounts instead of just the secondary account. To do this, have your partner gift you the game you’d like inside either the headset or the mobile app using their store credit. It’s all about saving that money.
