THE BIO

Eric Woodie here, I am a digital content producer with a focus on growing brands and communities through video (shooting and editing), podcasts and of course the mighty tool of social media.

I grew up in the land of crab cakes and football, playing sports and music like many kids who get bored. Once I hit the teenage years I became obsessed with my father’s camcorder and started making videos with my friends. Instead of doing presentations for class projects I scripted and created documentaries to flex my inner Ken Burns muscles. Eventually, I created a full-length doc of my senior year in high school that of course will never surface due to embarrassment.

In 2005 I packed up and moved to Tennessee for college to study music business because I needed a reason to get to Nashville to chase my then dream of being a musician. After playing in countless bands working in the new media department at Warner Music and receiving my degree I joined a band and told my parents I was going to live out of a van and go on tour playing bass with Since Forever.

If you want to know what it’s like to build a business in Nashville you can start by playing in a band. We started from playing in church basements to landing management, getting financial backing, going on nationwide tours and playing in front of thousands. The big piece of our success was creating and leveraging digital content to connect our music with fans and potential fans across the world, which thankfully was my responsibility. The content we created was featured in Journey’s shoe stores, AP Magazine and BritneySpears.com to name a few.

Eventually, for me the band in a van life ran its course so I began working for our management company Crowdsurf producing behind the scenes and event footage to supplement artist releases and marketing campaigns. Creating original photo content for clients to post on social media outlets, posting across multiple social platforms maintaining the brand voice of clients and growing 40,000+ new targeted twitter followers every week for 40 clients (1,000+ a week per client). I also researched social media trends and tools to further market clients, recorded social media metrics evaluating the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, strategized visual content with executives and account managers to drive traffic to client sites and built client/audience relationships through live streams, contesting, and online conversations. That’s a mouthful and yes I copied it from my resume.

While at Crowdsurf I began working remote as I moved to Dallas to intern and lead worship for Prestonwood Youth Ministry. While there I created video content to cultivate engagement for services, special events, and social media outlets. Along with, developing new creative ideas for large church events with multiple department heads and being a public face of the church conducting visitor outreach, volunteer relations and MC of events. Oh and I ended up dating my wife and asking her to marry me (it was a busy year) which led me back to Nashville. I also had my 15 minutes of internet fame for the viral video Ho Hey Harry Caray I created.

Once getting back to Nashville I landed a mid-week worship leading gig for First Baptist Hendersonville youth ministry and a bandleader position at River Oaks Community Church. On the side I also did digital marketing for a startup called OrderUp which is now owned by GrubHub. Eventually, I needed more than multiple part-time gigs because well I was married after all and I answered a job ad for Premiere Speakers Bureau where I have been managing website content, designing email marketing campaigns, producing and editing original video and podcast content, along with fully producing events.

My experience with PSB created an added opportunity to help build their side company LiveSigning.com and later Premiere Book Group, where I became the creative director and lead producer. LiveSigning started from the ground up, back in 2015 to help authors connect with fans and promote new autographed projects and releases. We have since produced 1,000+ live-streamed events while selling over 800K autographed books.

I built the LiveSigning YouTube account creating repurposed viral content to reach new audiences. Our account has grown to over 27,000 subscribers with 13 million views and counting. Some notable LiveSignings include Kevin Hart, Kate Hudson, Chelsea Handler, John Cena, Jackie Chan, and Maria Sharapova.
