Sony Playstation VR2 Release Date, Price & New Games

Playstation VR2 is officially hitting the shelves on wednesday february 22nd 2023. As well as the PS VR2 sense controller charging station which of course is sold separately. You’ll be able to add this to your PS5 for $550 dollars US. So yeah the psvr2 is more expensive than if you paid retail for a PS5. Is it worth it? Well lets check out some of the details and 11 new games that were announced.

Inside the base bundle box you’ll get the headset, the sense controllers and stereo headphones which hey thats a nice little add. For the 550 dollar price tag. Then separately if you want the Sense controller charging station will run you another $50 bucks.

Playstation also put together a bundle that comes with its premiere VR2 launch title Horizon Call of the Mountain which will retail for $600 dollars.

If you are interested and live in either the US, UK, France Germany Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg you can pre-order your VR2 on November 15th over at direct.playstation.com but starting today you can register now for an exclusive invite to pre-order the PSVR2 that will come to your email inbox using your Playstation Network ID. I’m assuming this can help you get a head of the queue. Nonetheless I’ve left the preorder pre registration link in the description below.  Just a heads up you will only be able to pre-order one PSvr2 per playstation ID number.

Along with the release announcement Playstation also shared 11 New games that will be coming to the PSVR 2, Lets run through the list. You’ll find previously released titles which you may have seen on the quest and steam stores like Cosmonious High, Jurassic World Aftermath, Pistol Whip, Cities VR, Zenith, After the Fall, and Tentacular. But of course what’s more exciting are new VR titles llike the dark pictures switch back vr which is a horror roller coaster shooter that uniquely uses all the PSVR2’s bells and whistles like headset feedback, adaptive triggers, 3D audio and eye tracking to make the game a more immersive experience. Heck some enemies only move when you blink which sounds like a fun little gameplay mechanic to check out.

Up next we have the first person modern military shooter Crossfire Sierra Squad. You’ll work your way through over 60 campaign missions with smart AI enemies that will be a challenge to clear out using over 39 types of weapons and if you want you can bring in 3 friends for co-op play. There will be multiple modes to make the game playable for all kinds of people with an arcade, realism and hardcore horde modes.

One of my personal favorite franchises is now getting a VR release in the form of Hello Neighbor: Search and Rescue. And if you’ve played a hello neighbor game before you guessed it you get to sneak through Mr Peterson’s creep show of a house in first person VR avoiding him and other foes to help free your friend who is held captive in the basement. This game will also be available on the OG PSVR
Lastly we have the light brigade which is a fantastical roguelike gunplay mystery game. Which leans into realistic physics based gunplay and exploration. Light brigade will be a cross buy title for the original PSVR as well.

So for $550 are you pre-ordering a PSVR2? How do you feel about the price? Let me know in the comment and thanks for watching I’ll catch you in the next quickie.

How To Install Bonelab Mods on Meta Quest 2

How to install Bonelab mods on quest.

Alright let's head over to your pc or mac and first visit  https://mod.io/g/bonelab to find some mods.

On the left hand side click android to filter through only quest mods but of course if you want to do this on pcvr you can click windows.

Also on the left side you will see the types of mods to filter through click your mod type of choice such as avatars.

Now that we see all the quest avatar mods, let’s sort by most popular to see what people are downloading.

Ah yes the titanfall 2 pack is hot right now, but hey let’s go with deadpool because who doesn’t like Ryan Reynolds?

Click that mod preview link and on the mod page scroll down on the right side under live files and click the version for android and then download the zip file.

Double click that zip to open up the extracted file folder on your computer.

Now go ahead and connect your headset to your computer, and make sure in the headset to choose to allow the computer to access your headset.

If you are on PC you’ll find your quest 2 in your file explorer but if you are on mac you’ll need to download android file transfer and install it to access your headsets file structure.

On PC find your headset in file explorer as a device, click on it then double click shared storage then go to the android folder then data, then find the folder com.stresslevelzero.bonelab dive inside that folder and then open files and then Mods. Now you can drag the unzipped mod folder into the Bonelab mods folder and you’re done.

For Mac the process is nearly the same, just connect your headset and open then open android file transfer (it should open automatically) and follow the same file path as before: android then data, then com.stresslevelzero.bonelab then to files and then Mods. Drag and drop your mod folder in there and you're good to go.

Now you can disconnect your headset hop back into bonelab and access your mod / avatar inside the game.

Happy modlife!

New Meta Quest Pro Leak: Inside The Headset and New Face Cover

A new week a new leak for the quest 2 pro. This time we get a view from inside the headset and its color pass through and mixed reality capabilities. Virtual office creator immersed shared the video showing off, what to me definitely looks like a quest pro creating a virtual conference room from a smaller table in someone’s home complete with other avatars joining the conference.  Immersed also give us a glimpse out of a virtual office set up with multiple digital windows for productivity using color passthrough and implementing an actual keyboard just like we’ve seen on the quest 2 infinite office feature. Oh and a familiar video thumbnail down there in a discord window. Maybe they used my video to this in obs!?

Slowing down the video and looking at this frame we do see something we haven’t before in the form of a thick sided facial cover pad to prevent light leakage into the headset. My guess is that we will see this come as an add on accessory and from third party dealers. As with any of this it all could be clever editing but to me its looking a lot like the quest pro which we will finally get the full details of next week so get subscribed and stay tuned for coverage of Meta connect 2022. Are any of you interested in pre-ordering or buying a quest 2 pro? Let me know in the comments below and as always thanks for watching I’ll catch you in the next quickie

Bonelab Quest 2 Reveal and Price

The highly anticipated follow up to Boneworks is coming to VR headsets this week. Which is just absolutely beautiful news. And today we finally got to see footage of the quest 2 version captured in headset. Bonelab creator Brandon Laatsch also shared that it runs on the quest 2 natively at 90hz without using asynchronous space warp. Of course the quest version isn’t going to meet the graphic fidelity of a speced out computer with a dedicated graphics card but in my opinion I think it looks pretty dang good and having the physics work the same as the PC version is incredible. The price of $40 was also announced and that it will be cross buy for those of you that use the oculus store on your PC as well as standalone. There are those on the internet that were hoping Bonelab would be free but when you have to pay a team to create a game like this and then giving it away in hopes of using microtransactions to pay it all back just feels wrong but maybe thats just me. Oh and by the way Brandon confirmed there will be no micro transactions.

From what has been posted in previews the game seems to be leaning into a newer mechanic that hasn’t really been used in VR games all that much, or at all. Where changing your avatars body type actually changes the physics in the game and how you can defeat enemies or work through puzzling areas. Kinda like mario’s hat in odyssey. This is a really intriguing mechanic that I’m really excited to explore especially in virtual reality where I can imagine what its like to have a different uhhh body type…yeah. along with the ability for Mods to change and create your own avatar types inside the game that now will be more than just skins but will affect the actual gameplay physics. From what I’ve gathered avatar attributes are pulled from the silhouettes of the avatar. So naturally if you have a massive upper body your strength attributes will be higher so you can throw people around like beanie babies, while being a smaller avatar you can move around with agility and speed, you know like say uhh an anime girl if you will. I do wonder how modding will be handled with that and if an ultimate maxed out character can be created. I guess we shall see but thankfully mods will also be supported for the quest 2 standalone audience as well.

And by the way vehicles will be in the game and choosing between playing while seated or standing will now be a seamless experience. No more choosing an option in a menu if you want to sit the game recognizes your position and adapts.

All in all the bonelab sandbox looks incredible and I can’t wait to see the story mode of the game but also what the community cooks up with mods especially now that so many more people will have access to this game unlike boneworks which was PC only. Do you plan on picking up bonelab? And where do you plan on playing it. Let me know in the comments and thanks for watching I’ll catch you in the next quickie.
